Welcome to 4-H in the Classroom !

4-H in-school is a program that uses 4-H curriculum to teach about science.  4- H is known for its hands on approach and students benefit by “learning by doing.”   The program currently in four Wyandot county fourth and fifth grade classrooms is Chick Embryology.  These classroom teachers attended a workshop teaching them how to conduct 4-H Chick Embryology, Incredible Egg in their classroom.  4-H then provides the use of the incubators and teaches a session on candling eggs.

Other 4-H curriculum designed for in-school use in 3rd to 5th grade classrooms is Fishy Science, Rockets Away, Weather Together, Breads of the Harvest, Growing Together, Beans about Water, and Go Plants.  OSU Extension is happy to work with teachers to provide workshops and curriculum.  Please contact us if you would be interested introducing any of these curriculum into your science classroom. E-mail or call Brenda at 419-294-4931.
